Erik Laakkonen is a partner.  He has litigated Healthcare and Construction claims throughout California since becoming an attorney in 2007.  Prior to joining KDK, he attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, where he graduated with honors and served as Chief Notes Editor of the school’s law review.  

Erik has published two recent law review articles: Mistreating the Treaty Clause, 28 Thomas Jefferson Law Review 237 (Fall 2005) and Up in Smoke? Narragansett, Hicks and the Erosion of Tribal Sovereign Immunity, 11 Journal of Gender, Race & Justice (University of Iowa College of Law) 453 (Spring 2008).
